When you call Corp Travel to book the first class ticket, just tell them it qualifies under one of these contract provisions: they know about them and will book it if you ask them to.
As long as you didn't get a legal crew rest betwen operating flight and deadhead flight you can extend your duty day to exceed 11:30 and qualify for first class. I do that a lot by getting only 6 or 7 hours at the hotel. Never been questioned by corp travel or crew audit.
