I remember a story about...
Some guy that was hired at Braniff way back in the late 60's or early 70's, he was hired into the right seat at 19 and because of the rapid expansion was Captain at 24 in a 707. He had a nickname Billy Blue Eyes
I made Captain at 28 on a 727 so I did some research back in the mid 80's and that was the earliest Captain I came up with.
