I don't want to open a can of worms here, but referring to 82:30min in to the hearing on Sen. Lautenberg. While I am glad he mentioned that some pilots are earning close to minimum wage, how can he compare the work of a surgeon to a pilot? Surgeons earn $315-530K while pilots earn "minimum wage." Maybe this will rattle some cages and potentially raise the pay for all pilots. If a heart surgeon is responsible for 1 life at time, why can’t pilots earn a lot more, especially when we have the lines of more than 1 life’s in our hands.
