Funny, that's exactly what Dave Barger was saying about Jetblue in the beginnning of the year. Make no mistake, SWA made money last quarter for one reason...fuel hedging. 95 cents avg cost per gallon. vs well over 1.50 for Jetblue, for instance.
"Meworry"- actually, not so funny, you're terribly mistaken (Did Dave Barger tell you that, too?)SWA made a profit last quarter without fuel hedging (about a $22 million profit). If you doubt me, call investor relations at SWA (you can find the number at southwest.com). And the beauty of it is that they did it while paying good wages.
