While in training you're paid 75hr guarantee at $24 an hour. That totals up to $1800 per tax. Subtract for a place to stay while in MSP. Company will not cover any housing expenses during the 4-6 weeks.
After training you can expect to fly 20-50 hrs a month per month while on reserve. Your monthly guarantee is 75 hrs so $1800 per month pre tax. I don't include the per diem that you'll get for the trips you fly since you have to eat a little while you're flying those trips.
Does that cover your expenses...
You could also look at it this way. You get to fly a nice jet airplane for near minimum wage, and if you commute, be away from your spouse and kids for about 20 days per month while on reserve.
sounds like most regionals.....
