Right off the top of my head on the issue of union protection. No, they didn't have it, but they indirectly benefitted for all these years from salaries tied to the line captain payrates. As far as the big picture goes, I wouldn't want ANY of the current managers in my union. Any new hire subordinate official should be in the union. This airline within an airline crap neds to go away.
