AA in this scenario would be picking up a bunch of A-319/20/21's from Airbus quickly and on the cheap to cover the loss of AC. FedEx would supposedly also pay AA to maintain the all the 75's.

Aviation Week says AA is setting up a 757P-757F mod operation at AFW. The article was before the FedEx 757 announcement. It didn't say whose airplane were being modified or who the recipient would be.
