Mainline can/will assign those flights to whomever they choose. I know it's above your pilot group but you should admit you were screwed by your own MEC and ALPA. Most of you are/were drunk on Kool-Aid..now look at ya. Mgt has you under their thumb which is exactly where they want you. But, keep puffing your chest out
You realize this whole argument makes no sense? If what you are saying is true, then there is absolutely no point in having a union. If the flying isn't "ours" then we have no leverage, thus management has ZERO reason to EVER give us anything we want no matter how small(TSA is just lookin to be average). There is nothing stoping Uncle Hulie from doing this everytime a contract becomes amendable. Why give in to simple demands when he can just transfer the flying to a new airline everytime? What I can't figure out is, why GoJets always uses this argument..."well its not your flyin anyway"...Apparently GoJets likes being on the opposite end of the whipsaw. And for the last time, stop blaming our MEC. Thats old.
Oh...and you don't think mgmt has Gojets under their thumb as well? Muahahahah.
