Crash: All West Freight C123 at Denali Park on Aug 1st 2010, impacted terrain
An All West Freight Fairchild C-123 Provider cargo aircraft, registration N709RR, crashed at the southern flanks of Mount Healy,AK (USA), about 1nm from the Mount Denali National Park head quarter and about 600 feet (200 meters) north of the Denali Park Road. All three crew perished in the crash.
The Park Authority reported three occupants on board of the aircraft, the aircraft burst into flames and caused a wild fire. All three occupants were killed in the impact, the airplane disintegrated.
The FAA confirmed N709RR was involved in the crash.
The aircraft was nicknamed "Large Marge" and had been used in the movie "Con Air" as "Jailbird".
