The point made was that the ALPA "staff" members are unionized. These are the people who are the grunt workers at ALPA at the national headquarters, not the members obviously.
Did they unionize a while back so that way ALPA management can't screw them? Says alot about a union when a union employee is unionized against the union!!!
Can anyone bring verification to this or better yet explain how this came about?
They actually have two different unions. Nothing wrong with that, but every time their contracts come up I feel we are what we fight against at times.
I support their right to have a union and fight for raises, benefits and job protections. At the same time I want ALPA to fight hard to minimize its expenses (i.e. outlay of our dues money). Does put us between a rock and a hard place.
