Section 7 – Vacations
• Accrual:
Years of Service Days Per Month of Active Service
Less than 1 year .58 (.58 x 12 = 7 days)
More than 1 year 1.16 (1.16 x 12 = 14 days)
More than 4 years 1.75 (1.75 x 12 = 21 days)
More than 13 years 2.33 (2.33 x 12 = 28 days)
• Sunday-Saturday Vacation Blocks
• Pilot may attach two of their days off to be guaranteed and inviolate day off, one on each end of the
vacation block, resulting in both weekends off and a 9 day single week of vacation
• Pilot may “slide” vacation block 3 days back or forward prior to the monthly PBS schedule bid (in
addition to attaching days on each end, as described above for more flexibility with respect to the
timing of the vacation)

• Vacation Pay 21 hours/week
• Vacation Schedule Credit 24.5 hours/week
• Monthly Bidding for Open Vacation Blocks
• Annual Bid Every November, single-round bidding
• No loss of vacation when on TDY
• No pilot may have more than one week of vacation postponed per year
• Personal Vacation Days (Trip at a Time) – biddable post-Final Line Award each month
• Retiring pilots provision allowing 10 weeks to be banked towards a lump sum payment or to allow
pilot to begin retirement early.
Section 8 – Deadheading
• 75% Deadhead Pay
• DH to assignment must be scheduled on last flight with legal connection time + :30
• DH from assignment scheduled on first flight with legal connection time +:15
• Legal connection times will be posted on website
• DH’s longer than 3.5 hrs will be scheduled in business class or 1st class, subject to pass policy
Section 9 – Miscellaneous Flying
• Direct prohibition of pilots performing test flights
Section 10 – Transfer to/from Management/Supervisory Position
• Specific limitations on revenue flying conducted by management
Section 11 – Training and Testing
• All simulator training will be conducted by seniority list instructors with the exception of the first 50%
of initial qualification training (or up to the maneuvers validation if AQP).
• All checking done by seniority list pilots with limited exceptions for new aircraft.
• Prohibited days for training or checking for all pilots on day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day,
December 24-26, and December 31-January 1.
• Simulator training prohibited between 0200-0600 (with limited exception for rescheduling) and
checking events prohibited between midnight-0600, for all pilots on the property. Limited exception
for new hire training.
• All Short Term Training events (PC/RFT/PT/RGS, etc) bid for and awarded in PBS by seniority
• New language to handle Advanced Qualification Program training
• Enhanced language on Pilot Training Review Board
• New training progression language that allows for pilots who fail checking events to have retraining
and additional checkrides, under PTRB supervision while maintaining a pilots right to continue or
withdraw from training
• Mesaba’s Instructor Agreement (11.N) and Instructor Agreements and Policies at Pinnacle and Colgan
remain status quo until ALPA and the Company bargain new work rules and rates of pay for
instructors at all properties.
Section 12 – Hours of Service
• Report/Release Times:
o In Domicile – 1 hour before departure report, 15 minutes after block in release
o Out of Domicile – 30 minutes before departure report, 15 minutes after block in release
• Pilots will not be required to check out except in certain circumstances when completing a reserve
assignment
• 11 days off (for all pilots)
• 11 hours scheduled domicile rest
• 9 hours scheduled RON rest

• 14 hours maximum scheduled/rescheduled; Actual duty may not exceed 15 without Captain request
and flight manager approval
• 2 calendar days off before and after stretches of CDOs (scheduled and actual)
• CDOs limited to 4 legs (max two legs following layover)
• CDO return to domicile via most direct route
• 5 hour scheduled on duty break during CDO (except for during 1st year at Mesaba/Colgan, when
minimum is 4 hours
Section 13 – Leaves of Absence
• Provisions covering all leaves and pay treatment, if applicable
o Military Leave in accordance with applicable law
o Jury Duty Leave – no loss in pay
o Medical Leave – pilot has access to company-paid disability plans after sick time bank
exhausted – duration is 5 years per Leave
o Maternity Leave – mandatory 3 months following birth of child, regardless of amount of leave
taken prior to birth, with option to request to extend
o FMLA –for all pilots after 1st year, eliminates minimum hours requirement
Section 14 – Sick Leave
• Sick leave accrual – 2.5 hours per month to cover the first three days of an absence or supplement
Short Term Disability
• Full Company funded Short Term Disability plan starting after the third day of an absence
o Plan is fully paid by Company
o 60% of average monthly pay benefit level
o Pilot may supplement with sick time or vacation time
Section 15 - Physical Standards
• Due Date for medical certificate renewal in CBA (rather than subject to FOM policy) – 26th of the
month
Section 18 – Uniforms
• $20 per month uniform allowance
• Company pays in full for changes in color or style (no offset from Uniform allowance)
• Includes option for leather jackets; hats not required
Section 19 – Investigation, Discipline, and Disciplinary Grievances
• Firm definition of what constitutes discipline
• All reports, documents, etc. older than 24 months may not be used to support progressive discipline
• Investigatory meetings require 48 hour notice
Section 21 – System Board of Adjustment
• Grievance Review Board process
• Pre-Scheduled arbitration dates
Section 23 – Reduction in Force, Furlough and Recall
• Company is required to solicit voluntary furloughs before involuntary furloughs occur
• 7 year recall rights for furloughees
Section 24 – Filling of Vacancies
• Multi-Class Bidding System for vacancies and reductions, protects seniority and pay
• Pilots have full, unrestricted access to all positions at all Airlines for Vacancies and Reductions
• TDY pilots receive positive space to and from TDY, and 2 RT positive space passes during month
• Freezes:
o New Hires = 12 months or upgrade
o FO-FO = 12 months. If pilot elects to change to another First Officer position, then 24 months
before being eligible to bid to another FO category, but 12 months before upgrade
o CA = 12 mo
o CA downgrade to lower paying CA = 24 mo
o No CA freeze following requalification training, unless pilot voluntarily bid to lower paying
position, then12 mo
Section 25 – Scheduling
• Opening provision requires Company to staff sufficiently to cover known flying
• ALPA Scheduling Committee constructs both pairings and schedules, leave paid by Company. This is a
ground breaking provision because we have long sought to have meaningful input on pairing
construction which has an enormous impact on quality of life.
• All schedules bid for and constructed using Preferential Bidding System (PBS), except for Build-Up
Lines (for pilots ineligible to bid)
• Fixed date bid timeline:
o Early Bid (Short Term Training, Monthly Vacation) 4th-9th
o Monthly Bid 12th-16th
o Final Line Awards 20th
• Company required to make timely repairs to PBS issues
• Company will attempt to maximize block/duty in pairings
• No Single Days Off on first and last days of bid month. (Always 2 days off between trips unless bid for)
• CDO lines constructed by PBS
o 2 full calendar days off before and after all stretches of CDOs and any 2 calendar days off
following any stretch of work ending with a single CDO
• Mixed Lines of CDOs and non-CDO trips (now known as “Hybrid Lines”) minimized by PBS solution,
and spans limited to 3 CDOs, no more than 9 CDOs in a Hybrid Line.
• Build-up lines now constructed per crew preference; no less favorable days off, prorated as necessary,
based on using the most days off and number of weekend days off of junior pilots’ schedules.
o Build-up lines constructed of trips and Long-Call Available days, all with hard credits (3.86
hours for Long Call Available, trip credits for trips)
• Rescheduling/Recovery
o If flights are cancelled, pilot is released “time available” (specific callout time, limited to
original trip hour period)
o At company option, after cancelled flight pilot may be required to remain at airport minutes
after notified of cancellation, except if within 3 hours of end of trip, pilot is released.

• OE Displacement Provisions
o When displaced from trip, pilot has option to be “Time Available” (assignment must be made
within original trip hour period) or “Long Call Available” (assignment must be made between
1000-1300 day prior, and must not continue beyond original trip footprint)
• Long Call Available (LCA)
o LCA assignments must be made and accepted between 1000-1300 on day prior to LCA duty. If
no assignment, LCA is released from duty for that day.
o LCA may NOT be converted to short call reserve (or assigned a reserve availability period)
• Extensions (from end of trip up to 3 hours)
o All Ready Reserves must be exhausted prior to extending
o Paid at 150% starting at first leg that operates one hour or later than end of original trip
o Limited to 2 per month
o Pilot can refuse 1 per month / 3 times per year
• Junior Assignments (from 3 hours past end of trip and on)
o All available reserves (system wide in category) must be exhausted prior to junior assignment
o Paid at 150% for occurrences during day of work
o Paid at 200% for junior assignments into or on a day off. Because the Min Day applies a pilot
will receive at least 8 hours flight credit for any work on a day off.
o Compensatory Day granted for any junior assignment on day off for pilots who fall below
minimum days off. In addition, a pilot who is junior manned and who has more than the
minimum days off will also receive a Comp Day for all Junior Assignments involving a day off
except for the first Junior Man affecting a day off in a calendar year.
o Limited to 2 per month (max 3 duty periods) / 8 duty periods per year
o Pilots can refuse 1 per month / 3 times per year
o Pilot may not be junior assigned below 10 days off (or one day less than their prorated
minimum days off)
• Compensatory Days – pilot and scheduler agree, otherwise pilot provides 3 alternate dates from
which scheduler has to pick one. A pilot shall be credited with the value of the trips lost on the
compensatory day in addition to the value already credited on the day the pilot was junior assigned. A
pilot who elects to be paid in lieu of a compensatory day shall be credited four (4) hours, above
guarantee.
