Someone sounds bitter that they haven’t gotten a call. A few years back I updated my airline apps about 250 hours away from ATP mins. Got 4 calls that week to interview. One was less than 8 hours after I submitted the app. The shortage is here and all but the most selective regionals will call you back unless you have some kind of red flag.
The guy you’re relying to is simply trying to gauge if he’s going to even get a call. If everyone else is getting called the next day and this guy hasn’t heard anything in a month that’s intel he can use to figure out it’s probably not happening. Not everything is some kind of morality issue.

He was fine until he asked about getting the interview, that is the entitlement I am talking about. There is nothing wrong with asking how long does it take to get back. I must also say I’m not bitter at all, I have worked for my first choice companies my whole life. Im A very blunt and straight forward and can’t stand entitled people. This is the same guy that will refuse to do anything or even clean up a mess after himself. You know, they guy who spills his dip cup and just leaves it there. Or who leaves random snot tissues in the plane when he leaves.
Not sure how long it’s been since you applied for a job, but a rejection call is incredibly uncommon. It’s usually just silence. Leaving the applicant to ask others how long the usual response time is.

Yep. This is correct. The shortage is real.

For a friend of mine, she heard back within a week, had the interview time within a month and her clearance within a month after that. For me, took about a month to get an interview invite and about 3 months after that before my clearance went through.
