You will have 5 sessions of CPT in front of a paper tiger.

9 sim sessions plus a checkride is standard. Many people are getting 15.

Attitude spot on. If you show you want to learn and play nice with others it'll go a long way

Default Air Wisconsin: Not for Newbies - STILL !

I just met yet another pilot that was asked to leave by Air Wisconsin in the last few months. A large portion of their class was asked to leave as well.
Now they have a huge mark on their record that could have been avoided.

If you don't have jet experience, FMS/ Glass/ FD experience, just don't go to Air Wisconsin.
Go to a regional with AQP that expects you to fly to ATP standards, and to fly the line as a First Officer, ready to learn.
There is no way that you can be a seasoned jet pilot after simulator training.

You will have some surprises in training, and may not be retained by the company :

- Significant failure rate . 6 -10 out of last few classes ( seems to be students new to 121, or those who have been away from flying for an extended period.)

- inconsistent training in sim.
- long delays between extra sim sessions.
- huge variation in level of difficulty on orals / checkrides.
- Inconsistent training on IOE. diff. level of expectations ,
different techniques taught, subjective standards.
- LCA's intentionally causing extra stress, because they feel like it.

The company has hired very experienced pilots in the past, and some LCA's expect you to fly at the level of an experienced 121 pilot.

If you accept an offer, be prepared.

Pretty serious grudge to resurrect this dead horse after 4 years…

This does not reflect the reality of training here. There are two ways to not pass training 1. Have a terrible attitude 2. Show your instructors zero progress.

You've left out quite a bit of context here. I can only assume that's purposeful, given your previous posts in this thread.

Your blanket statement doesn't help anyone at all, unfortunately.

If you're a pilot at any airline within your probationary year and you have problems flying the line that cause your name to be brought up to the Asst. Chiefs several times, or you call out sick a bunch, continually miss your show time, have to write several ASAPs, or have the airplane taken by the CA because you hosed up something, you more than likely will be let go before your probationary year is up. ALL OF THOSE THINGS ARE NOT AIR WISCONSIN'S FAULT.

If you're a crappy pilot and happened to make it to the line, your crap skills will eventually be found out.
