Air Wisconsin Interview
I have an interview with Air Wisconsin on Tuesday, and am a little worried because I do not have updated information on what to expect. I know the study the normal ATP stuff, but I would like to know some more information, if anyone knows. I checked on the gouges, and they are from back in october, so I believe the gouge is a little out of date. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

My gouge in '05 was the same stuff they used in '03...
No ATP stuff or test needed AFAIK, just situational questions, maybe a question or two on an airplane you flew. Do the sim prep, not only to practice but if they like you when you do it you'll get good comments for the interview (yes it's part of the interview...). Look through your logbook to come up with stories.
It'll be competitive, they ain't hiring many.

Didn't they tell you about the sim profile? You can download it at Pearl Aviation's website, www.pearlaviation.com. It really isn't that bad, the prep basically is there so you can leave saying "oh that wasn't bad." They hire personality, so as long as you show them you have one, you will be fine. No written, maybe 2-3 questions on your current ME, and some basic HR questions. They are good at hiring quality people, so don't sweat it!

We did not hire for almost 6 months. We got overstaffed, and there is why the long reserve. I myself have been here 14 months and still on reserve. However, our reserve is not bad compared to most other places. 12 days off, 75 hr guaranteed, and get released at noon on your last day. Things are going to pick up here, as we are losing people fast, and most of them are CA's. If you want to work for a good company, that treats its employees pretty good, as well as work under an industry leading contract (which in a few months could be even better) then AWAC is for you. If you want to go somewhere that has supposed "quick upgrades" and work for less, and have either no contract or one that the company does not follow, go there.

as for the interview, just study the profile on pearlaviation website, and you'll be fine (i didn't have the chance to do the simprep either, but i studied the profiles and did just fine). they are strong on CRM, so they will be studying your personality. most of the questions are HR, with maybe few on your ME. yes, right now you'll be seating reserve long time, but AWAC is a great company with a solid future and a very good contract. i'll rather be here than in most of the regionals out there. if you leave in the northeast it could be the right choice for you. and thigs will pick up here as well, with the major and everyboy else hiring. good luck with your interview!
