IAD Senority
So I'm living in Central Virginia flying 135 and thinking of taking the jump to a regional to hopefully help me make the eventual transition to a major. Looking at airwhisky because it has the best bonus and a IAD base. The question is, how senior is it? I dont mind being on reserve but would hate to be unable to upgrade for 3 years (and stuck with F/O pay).

Thanks for the quick reply. It's "hard" having a good 135 job but knowing that getting to the major airline is probably going to take some sacrifice to get to where you want to be. Even with 4500 hours, 1800 hours twin turbine PIC and a few type ratings, I dont think my resume is going to get any attention without some 121 time.

Doesn’t matter whether you have 121 time or not. I bet if you apply, it’ll be a matter of minutes before you’re contacted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I ment getting on with a major without 121 time would be a challenge.

Not necessarily Depends on your time and experience. I know one who flew corporate for 16 years then applied and was hired at FedEx. Never say never Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

CA line holder is around 11-12 years seniority in IAD. |

I appreciate everyone's help. Not being in the 121 world makes it hard to figure out how it all works sometimes. |
Yeah CAE commutability really hurts its recruiting draw. Not that the company concerns themselves with such matters.
