Airman Trainee Program

Do CFI’s in the Airman Trainee program have first choice of aircraft after ground school? Do they get a higher seniority number than someone who does not participate?

You get what you can hold and whatever vacancies that are available. For FOs the most junior base in CAE then MKE. IAD seems to be senior over ORD for the FO side.
If you end up in CAE or MKE and don’t want to be there, don’t sweat it. Vacancies occur on a monthly basis.

No. The pilot seniority starts after your ground school. The company benefits longevity starts at your AT hire date

According to the pilots collective bargaining agreement, your seniority starts the day you report to Indoc.

I think the intent of your question was if AT’s are senior to non AT’s on day 1 of Indoc, and the answer is no. Seniority within your class is based on dob.

I started 08/19/2018 and the only advantage the ATs were given in our class was $5000 extra bonus. Apart from that, everything else is determined by DOB.
