For those who have no idea what OP's single word post meant (like me).

"United Airlines is going on a pilot hiring spree. As part of that effort, the Chicago-based carrier on Thursday rolled out a fast-track pilot-recruitment program branded Aviate and a dedicated website tied to the recruitment project at unitedaviate.com.
United wants to add as many as 10,000 pilots to its mainline ranks by 2029, a surge that's prompted in large part by two factors. One, nearly half of the 12,500 pilots who currently work for United are expected to retire in the next decade. United also has aggressively expanded its route network both domestically and internationally in recent years, requiring the carrier to have more pilots ready to fly in the years ahead.

Under the new Aviate program, candidates joining the United mainline pilot ranks from one of several United regional carriers (Air Wisconsin, ExpressJet, Mesa Airlines and CommutAir) can do so after completing a minimum of 24 months of flying and 2,000 hours working in a regional airline cockpit.
Quigley, in an interview, said pilots in the past had to rack up as many as 6,500 hours of flying regionally before being in a position to join United’s mainline pilot ranks. But the growing demand for qualified pilots, coupled with more mainline pilots retiring at an earlier age, has accelerated the whole process."

Any idea of how to apply? I have my Airline App in targeting United as my carrier, what else do I need to do? I can’t find an Aviate application on their site.

Because the CPP has been so successful.

I bet over 50% of those that apply won’t even get an invite to interview or take the assessments.

Most likely. It’s a total sham program. The CPP was a huge letdown and this appears to be little different.

New to AW. I've heard mixed things about CPP. What makes you say CPP was a huge letdown?

Since the program was implemented I can count on one hand the number of people that actually went to United. It's a carrot on a stick that is designed to staff the regional, not the legacy.

I know at least a dozen that have gone, of my class 2/3 that applied made it all the way through, just waiting on a class date.
