Reserve coverage on the day I wanted to pick up was -7, the day that I was swapping out of was +21. Most adds got approved unless I could only pick up partial and there were a ton of reserves.

Unless it was going to leave min day in open time that’s not the way the assignment of open time works per our last and current CBA. If you were denied an add simply because they had reserves to fly it you need to file a grievance. Know your contract.
