That is Way to many pilots for the flying we have to cover out of our now two bases.

Would you rather furloughs?

that’s further down the road...wasn’t it April 18th when our CEO said he would maintain regular, open communication with us regarding CARES money and other developments? Radio silence. 20 days of nothing from the C suite. He said they expected CARES approval “next week” in the April 18th email... “Next week” was 2 weeks ago. I should preface this by saying I’m not surprised, it’s the companies MO, but if you’re going to say you’re going do something, then don’t, you keep losing face and the confidence from those you lead.

No I don’t wish a furlough upon anyone especially a brother at our own company. But I’m saying we have too many because it seems like furloughs could happen, objectively that is too many pilots to keep in two bases alone for the amount of flying we have. Maybe we get more bases back, maybe we get more flying and maybe neither

Furloughs will happen if we don't open up something by then. Getting the amount of flying needed to sustain both bases is less than likely.

Furloughs are going to happen regardless. You can’t cut flying by 90% and not expect a furlough. Grab an e6b and go back to school instead of following the magenta line.

Anyone take a stab and estimate how many furloughs? Thoughts on the amount cut? Up to what date-of-hire?

My response was to your statement that we have too many pilots and will now have lots of reserves. Of course this isn't sustainable long term. My comment has nothing to do with my education, but rather your desire to inflict your negativity on the rest of us every time you post. I know that you can't be oblivious to what is going on in the industry and the world, but your enjoyment of spreading negativity and enjoying it's limited contagion is a really sad way to live.

There is a vast difference between negativity and reality. There are people with 4 digit employee numbers going on reserve. You can stay positive all you want. People need to realize what’s happening.
