Surprised no one posted the rumors

FWIW, when i was with y’all, even management spread these rumors to keep butts in seats. That’s all they’re doing, carrot on a stick. It could be true, but I also remember the photos of the E-175 QRH and the CRJ-900 photos in AA colors. Don’t fall for another 2016 “big summer announcement” that even base chiefs were claiming to be true only for CD having to address it in a email.

As a pilot group, they actually give us leverage to negotiate. First, is if they did buy the 700s, each month those are not being flown, they are essentially wasting money. If there's no negotiated pay rates for the 700s, no one flies them. As each month passes without any negotiated pay rates, they are losing expected value of what they could've gain with higher flight blocks from United if they had the 700s.

Actually, this is a different type of situation. Since the company is trying to position themselves to get more flying from United by purchasing the 700s, they are using up cash reserves and possibly taking out loans on this initial investment.

Got a tail nbr so I can check the registration??
Until your rear end is sitting in the seat of one , I would be skeptical. This industry is so fluid right now, a lot is changing daily so just be careful what you believe until it actually happens.
Im hoping they do get them , Lord knows those 200s are old and tired , but only time will tell .

I wouldn't be surprised they just get one 700 on property just to have it on the certificate and be flexible for the future. There's been a ton of rumors about new flying, new hubs, etc and some more accurate than others. Only time will tell if how many/any of them come true. I will add one rumor to the pile though...Canada? No? Ok I'll go back to the peanut gallery
