Essential Pilot Gear
**Essential Pilot Gear** - Above. Empty or Full. CARRY WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. In the likely event a mask-nazi films you in the airport area Mask-Zones, having one of these in your hand just may very well save your career and pilot record. Anyone know if a Mask violation goes on your PRIA record?
Thats nothing . Last week a buddy of mine was commuting to work on UA.
He was spotted in the gate area, off to the side , talking with another pilot , of which neither had a mask on . They put it on to board the plane obviously, but someone from UA got a video clip of them without their mask and sent it to Binns. They both got a call from JA and MP also I believe.
Unreal
so yes the mask nazis are alive and well .Almost as bad as whiskey used to be about the dam hat .

We’re struggling to survive right now, really need to land some extra flying, and we have dinguses out here scheming for how to get around the very, very, small thing our mainline partner has asked us to do. There have been multiple announcements. Be a professional and get with the program. This isn’t a stupid hat, this is a very specific thing that passengers are going to be ticked off about. Doesn’t matter your personal opinion, it’s the policy.
Not a good look.

Sure you can. Close the flight deck door or find a quiet nook somewhere. If the mask is giving you this much of an issue I’m shocked you can pass a medical with lungs as bad as a COPD patient.
Make an effort. If United wanted me to show up next week wearing Mickey Mouse ears I’d do it, because they’re the ones signing the checks and I care about the long term viability of this place. It’s part of the job. You think United is going to toss 550 or -700 flying to a pilot group that can’t be bothered to do something as simple as wear a mask in public? They don’t send out an email and make two announcements over something that isn’t a big deal.
