Default Moving Forward

So going into 2021, after seeing Mesa’s report that all their 700’s are going to G7, if one reads between the lines that tells me we are NOT getting any new planes / type soon. As G7 expands, just looking at JAN bids our ORD footprint is decreasing, which for me at least is cause for concern.

To recap, Mesa’s getting more jets, GoJet is getting more jets, our flying at what was our biggest hub is down, and no recalls planned...anyone else concerned yet?

Unless perhaps AWACs future isn’t with UAL ...

... think about who has a large -700/-900 fleet and is owned by the slowest buffalo in the major herd? Just saying it would be eerily similar to the last time AWAC jumped in bed with Discount Dougie before United tossed them out. Depends if/when DIP financing is needed at his airline and if AWAC and Parker want to rekindle the old flame.

We just brought in the Direct of Commercial Strategy for UAX. I think there's a plan. I just don't have the slightest idea what it is.

I think you are the backup plan of Go Jet fails to execute. Yes The Mesa planes are slated to go to Go Jet BUT Mesa is not leasing then to Go Jet - they are leasing them to United.

Dont forget Skywest just recently inked a deal for 20 rj700’s for AA.
I hope it’s not too much too late .
If they would have done everything they are doing now 5-6 years ago we would be sitting pretty right now.Instead it’s the exact opposite.I really think ua wants us gone but that’s just my opinion.
I don’t see delta dealing out any more rj flying when endeavor has aircraft parked. UA is scoped out , the only hope is AA, but Skywest is much cheaper.

At Mesa JO talks about CPAs coming due. Maybe you go for some of those.

Say what you want about JO, but he has Mesa set up for success in the long term. Years ago he shed all of their 50 seaters , everyone thought he was crazy . Now look at the regional industry. His foresight was spot on .
I wish we atleast had that.

Yeah I think before it’s all over Air Wisco will be put down. It seems to me UA’s using ZW as a backup for both the leased 700’s and potential quick return to 2019 pax loads. Both are extremely unlikely.

I made a statement months ago in this thread that I thought this airline would find a way to survive. I believe with what I’ve read recently I was wrong.

Get the resume updated and looked over, you should already be applying everywhere. Some compass guys saw the writing and made the move before the rest got sent to the street. I know breeze airlines and Atlas is currently hiring.

Ok, Chicken Little. I'm not sure why you care about ZW if you don't work there, but I'm sure you, as a super secret insider with the crystal decoder ring, have given everyone the real scoop. So thanks for that. We're very interested in you giving your opinion with zero facts to back it up. Now, if you don't mind fearmongering elsewhere, the adults were trying to have a conversation.

He’s not fearmongering. Air Wisconsin only operates the oldest 50 seat jet that airlines are wanting to phase out. With scope maxed out at every legacy and no desirable airframes to be had, how is this playing chicken little? It’s not a good position to be in, especially when your only customer is United and they have already shown a willingness to let regionals go.
