Why is the company so quiet?

Expect some of the smaller, unprofitable routes to be axed soon .

I'm not really worried about not being called while on reserve. I completely understand why I'm not being called.
I expected some sort of communication from the company about steps moving forward despite the situation being fluid.
I am 1000% positioned to hear news none of us want to hear.

I don't think so, at least not permanently. They need their regional aircraft to maintain frequency, and there aren't enough passengers right now to justify switching to 737s for our routes, much less there being enough pilots or aircraft to do so. The 200 is in a pretty good position right now, but we might still see more reductions. Especially if the government starts limiting the amount of flights that can go each day, or worse, an outright ban.

Not much has really happened since the 12th. At least not officially. American cut more routes yesterday, Delta as well. United has been relatively quiet and is still maintaining that furloughs will not happen. So that combined with the fact that corporate wasn't working yesterday due to it being Sunday, means that we probably won't hear anything new until maybe midweek. Just my two cents though.

In any case this is really worrying and we don’t have any control over the situation and who knows when things will go back to normal.

I said apart from yesterday. Yesterday doesn't count because there was no one in ATW to interpret what's going on and relay that to us. It was the weekend.

We fly the smallest aircraft in the UAL arsenal. There will be a place for that. Route structure might change but unless there is a government ban on air travel I’m sure we’ll still be moving people. It just might be O’hare to Orlando instead of O’hare to Peoria. We’re also dramatically understaffed. If you start hearing of new hire classes getting cancelled you can start to worry a little bit.
