Default How is it going out there?

From someone who has taken the LOA’s to stay home I’m wondering how the flying has been out there. Are we handling more and more flights yet? Are we still in big furlough territory for October? How do we stack up compared to other regionals? Hoping for the best for us !

It probably takes less time to login to MCweb and find your answer than to post your question.

We picked up 15 additional cities in July. We're definitely through the worst of it. There is approximately a 3% improvement (compared to normal loads) each week for passengers according to the TSA, and the percentage is increasing each week. We won't know for sure about furloughs until they happen I'm afraid.

Company just announced they will be furloughing in October. Also trying to get CRJ-700/550 business if it pops up. Adding it to our operating certificate.

Does that email have information on adding 550 flying or just talking about potentially adding it at some point?

It says they are working to add the 700 to the air carrier certificate to be able to offer the ability to fly the 550/700 in the future. It also says there has been no request from UA or otherwise to do it.

They just want to be able to take it/compete for it in the future.

They know the 50 seaters are toast . It’s obvious.
If and when something comes up for the 550, they can competively bid on it but it may be too much too little too late. This should have been completed years ago, oh wait this company is reactive not proactive.
Too far behind the 8 ball now
