Default Invited to interview

I was furloughed from ExpressJet last year and decided to apply here and was invited to interview. From what I am seeing there are 700/900's coming to Air Wis. Will these be open to new hires?

Thanks.

Thanks, I only recently started to apply and have only submitted a couple. Air Wis has been the first to acknowledge the app. I don't really know much about the company so I am just getting into reading these boards.

I have read that the training here is pretty good, what other reasons do you (or anyone else who reads this) like Air Wis?

Sure you've heard the saying, but don't bank on a new airframe until there a butts in seats and paychecks coming in for flying them. 'Someday we will probably maybe fly 700's/900's' is definitely not something to give much weight to when making a decision to go to an airline or not.

Instructors and evaluators are good and fair if you're not a douchebag. They smell it on d-bags, I swear. Then you're in for a ride.

Schedules are getting full and tough at the moment. Long days, short overnights. But if you want to fly, you will fly your butt off right now.

Soft pay is amazing. I flew 52 hours last month credited 106 hours. This month will be in the neighborhood of 85 hours and 130 credit or so.

Junior manning on the FO side has begun and will probably continue as we get new FOs online.

PM if you have other specific questions.

Thanks.

There are quite a few former XJT here. They have also been hiring XJT/ASA guys as sim instructors.

That is good. I thought the XJT training was great! Air Wisconsin is not AQP though is it? Is having an ATP already any benefit at all? I am not sure if the training/evaluations are any different if you already have an ATP.

No different if you have an ATP. They treat you as a professional pilot who knows their stuff from day 1.

Initial training is not AQP. Recurrent is from my understanding.

You seriously don’t have any other options? Plenty of good regionals available that won’t potentially have you on the street for a second time in a year.

I bet AW has a great training program, but that’s a small consideration when considering your career job. Have you read any of the announcements lately?

Fool me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice….
