I don’t see how forced upgrades benefit the pilot group. It may ruin one’s decent QOL or what if one doesn’t feel ready? Then they’ll have a failure on their record. Or if one wants to hold out so they can skip having to go to DAY.

I didn’t say they couldn’t force upgrades. I just said that they definitely will force upgrades now.

MP is selling this LOA hard today. It seems pretty obvious to me from the way the announcement is phrased that the company doesn’t think the incentives are enough to get people to upgrade and they’re going to have to force upgrades. He’s basically admitting that the LOA is mediocre at best. You senior-ish FOs better be prepared for your involuntary DAY CA RSV award.
