Aviate ends January 31 for air Wisconsin

For all those thinking of coming to Air Wisconsin. JFYI the deadline to sign up for Aviate and the flow to UAL ends January 31. If you are hired at Air Wisconsin Feb 1 2023 or later Aviate won’t exist for you. There has been nothing announced by the company with respect to the up and coming American Airlines contract. If you want proof ask the powers that be before you commit to the job.

With sub par pay rates and no flow / preferential interview / whatever term you want to slap on an incentive from a legacy I predict Air Wisconsin will be struggling to fill new hire classes. They better announce some sort of incentive with AA or cough up some higher pay rates if they expect to attract quality candidates.

Also, did anyone get an email or anything from United regarding this? I got the email from the union but I didn’t get anything from United.

With the current hiring at the majors and the decimated ranks at the regionals, every single regional captain should be at a major/legacy airline within 12 months from today. All of them. Period!

In 2022, the majors hired over 12,000 pilots. The only reason that 2023 will likely be less is that there simply aren't enough pilots available. Places like JetBlue and Spirit are hiring pilots with ATP minimums. It is crazy.

With a majority of regionals stopping or delaying new hire training because of Captains Air Wisconsin shouldn’t have any trouble filling its new hire classes.

Going to laugh if United calls every Aviate pilot to mainline the last day of UAX ops.

In the war between UA and AA this just might happen.
