Air Wisconsin, Horizon, Eagle Mins

Other that what is posted on their websites, has anyone heard of Air Wisconsin, Horizon, and American Eagle lowering their minimums or hiring people lower than what they state? Any others out their that hire lower than 1000 other than Express Jet and Great Lakes?

UND Grads have been hired at:

Horizon with 750/50
American Eagle with 500/100

Skyway, Piedmont, and many, many others that get desperate for pilots

Horizon

I taught basic indoctrination to a new hire at Horizon a few years back.

TT 405
SIM 115
Plane 290

He was from UND. It doesnt mean that they are better, just that the Chief Pilot went to UND as well and he hired on at Horizon with 500TT himself.

I'm a Purdue grad...didn't major in flight but was in the aviation program and decided to start flying after college. Currently a SIC for a 135 operation. With 610 TT and about 315 ME, would Horizon or Eagle consider me?

Air Wisconsin would....200+ new hires from Jan to July of next year. Place sux for those of us that have been here a while, but for new people it might not be bad. And my paycheck has yet to bounce. All hiring is for attrition, and not growth. So if you want to fly 70+ seat a/c for crap pay, you better look somewhere else. DCA, ORF, PHL all CL65 fleet.

hey tsuchiym, a very good buddy of mine (purdue grad) got hired with flight time like yours at Piedmont airlines. he got hired because of that "bridge program" with Piedmont at your alma mater. I think they fly dash 8's for us airways. They have bases in Salisbury, MD and word on the street is that they might open up a base in PHX because of the AWA and US Airways merger. Good luck.

Is that what used to be old man Henson's Commuter? Used to be called Henson Airways.....flew shorts 330s, Dash7s & 8s????

ERJ135 11-09-2005 03:53 PM

Yes, it used to be Hensen's operation flying Beech 99's and short 3-30 aircraft in 1977.

Airchristyle,

I put in my resume to Piedmont a while back and haven't heard a thing. I know they like to hire more of the flight majors rather than Administration majors. I heard also American Eagle has a similar bridge program, but only with again, the flight majors.
