Air Wisconsin Pool Info

I'm currently sitting in the pool for AWAC. I was wondering who all out there is in the same boat and what you may have heard from the Company, if anything.

Any current AWAC guys or gals out there have any info on what's happening inside AWAC? I'm just curious as Whisky hasn't been discussed too much here lately.

Thanks in advance.

nothing is happening. I think only 5 or 6 guys left in May. I think we have plenty of guys right now but I'm just a pee-on. Hope this helps!

Thanks freefall. I'm number 5 in the pool so hopefully it won't be too much longer. Do you know if they are running a class in June for the ones that were cancelled in May?

Lets get one thing straight.....we do NOT have enough pilots....as much as MGMT. thinks we do....we have almost no reserve coverage in any base....

I think they are waiting to see what happens with this Yo-Nited RFP before they do anything else.

We can only hope that US Airways can stay out of bankruptcy. If they do file
The 50 seater will be the first to go. From the news I have been hearing Airways is not looking to good.

That's what worrying me most, we're tied to a major who's outlook looks awful. I mean they seem to stick around, but this time, they are the weakest legacy still out there. And we're hitched to them, ball and chain. All of our eggs are in their one basket, sucks man, really does. But we've got to keep our chins up and just roll with the punches.

Well my $0.02 is, AWAC is holding on right now, just waititng the RFP, and MESA's status. I wouldn't worry one bit about US Airways future, none of the majors look good. So every regional and mainline airline is in the same boat. Right now I wouldn't bet on anyone. With that being said, AWAC is solid and always has been. They were 100% United, and survived loosing it all. So should something happen they will survive. They have a great contract, great pay in comparison, so I would wait in the pool. It wont take long. Just my opinion.

Stick it out in the AWAC pool, bring a floatie and some beer. You will need it in Appleton. Its a good airline to be with during lean times.
