I'm in a tough spot. Very junior CA here at AWAC. Not competitive enough for the legacies, can't afford the pay cut for the LLC's first year pay. Wondering if I should just hang tight and see what happens here (hopefully can get hired on to a legacy before FEB 2018) or jump ship to a commute air or PDT where I could get CA almost right off the bat. My biggest fear is a downgrade here at AWAC. Kind of wish I was a junior FO here and my choice would be easy.

I'd say if you live in any of their bases or it's a much easier commute your choice is obvious.

If you're a Captain then I say don't go anywhere. You guys are short staffed so I'm sure you're flying a bunch. Now if American was your first choice of a Legacy then you'd have to consider it. Stay and keep getting your PIC time. If they go to downgrade you then consider a move.

There's simply no reason to stay here or come here.

Management keeps stalling for time and says hold tight, announcement. The CEO said no announcement.

It's clear to everyone but management that it's bad and I guess they really are all about, let attrition happen.

There's a political game to be played her with negotiations, but since they obviously don't want a contract, they must not want anyone to stay here.

But it must be nice being so disconnected with the operation in ATW by continuing to say, we're not at the point of bonuses or really giving anyone a reason to keep the operation a float.

Run away, stay away, but rest assured. Everything is fine here.

The best part of a lot of this is, all the people that burned their flight cases that are jumping ship to companies that have not gone paperless yet. Oops..... glad I saved mine

Just curious, how did your friends get "burned"?

Do you work at AWAC? Everyone here currently is well aware of the situation and many are making the choice to leave. Morale is somewhat on the low side, and there is the increase in junior manning. That said, it's still a relatively pleasant place to work. Not much "burning" of FOs that I've seen or been made aware of. Your secondhand accounts bring nothing to this conversation.

Judging by his posts, he's a flight instructor with no 121 experience.

I'd assume his friend failed out of training, turned around and blamed the company, then flamed to anyone willing to listen.
