Air Wisconsin vs Horizon

So, I have offers at both Whiskey and Horizon. East coast west coast does not matter to me. I'd be moving to my base. Looking for a place to hang my hat until mainline calls. I currently have around 6500 tt with over 3000 turbine pic. So hopefully less than two years.

Any thoughts?

Depends on the type of PIC turbine that you have. If it were me I would make sure I had jet multi-crew glass time. If you already have it it probably doesn't matter. If you don't I would say Whiskey.

I think west coast life is more interesting than east...

West coast is more fun IMO.

There hasn't been any future plans at Awac since 1965. Yet we are still around.

Not so fast, L-AE (envoy) will be unloading their 47- CRJ 700 to another carrier. It will be a lot sooner if their AIP (TA) is shot down. I have heard Air Whiskey is a top candidate for them.

Both are going to have pretty equal pay and benefits.... Everything I've experienced in my short time at Horizon has been top notch. If you live in base RSV will be much easier to tolerate. People from my class are just starting to hold lines in the outstation bases so that's about 6 months, if you go to ANC you'll prolly be able to hold a line a lot quicker. The Q has been the most fun plane over flown and they do some pretty nifty flying with it. Hard to top some of the views you'll get as well.

Thanks for all the info guys! Keep it coming! Anyone at Whiskey attest to QOL?
