Honestly, our HR/hiring dept is ridiculous. Maybe it has gotten better with AirlineApps, but the old system was notorious for sending out "No thanks" emails without anyone even looking at their apps etc. Given the current hiring environment they are royally shooting themselves in the foot.
This sounds like a tech error on their side if you got a no thanks email simply because you weren't free those dates. If you don't/can't find a number PM and I'll try to get you in touch with someone.

That's all I meant, people that you'd not normally hire will soon become a target. Wasn't anything negative towards AWAC it's just how it works.

I wouldn't read too far into class sizes, it is usually driven by student availability due to background checks etc and how recruiting fills the classes than it is due to interest.
Also, too many large classes and the simulators get clogged and that doesn't do anyone any good.
