Well PSA really doesn't have a union. They have a couple of guys chasing their tails, but I would hardly call it a union. What we do have is a contract that isn't followed, but we really don't have a union.

Which is essentially what the original Airways contract called for. There has to be a couple extra airframes to cycle through heavy check, long-term OOS, and the seemingly mythical operational spares. Nature of the Beast...

Maybe it's the PSA 200's that have that -704 computer in them. I can't imagine them transferring a/c, especially as PDT is winding up its erj145 program. I guess maybe it's that we have the pilots right here, right now.

Yes I seriously doubt Parker will transfer airplanes to AWAC from PSA. If he was going to do that he'd push for extending the contract.

In part I agree. I imagine there would certainly need to be some new literature signed before anything was "transfered". I was under the impression that AWAC buys/leases it's own aircraft only. Maybe some 200s would be bought by AWAC after American pays them to operate more than 67 planes (new contract). Which I would certainly welcome as opposed to being at the mercy of AA anytime they want to move airplanes to the lowest bidder. But I digress..

I tend to agree as well, only because their fate is so uncertain. American doesn't seem to be in a long term commitment mood with AWAC, seems a deal of this type would/could extend the AWAC lifespan. But to what end? AWAC suffers the same fate as all the other contract airlines.
