The Virgin product will become only a memory, it's good will long flushed away Seems like a lot to pay to keep Jet Blue out of your back yard. What did they have for the Jet America merger? A bunch of MD-80s they didn't want and eventually got rid of and a dominating presence in Long Beach. When the Anglers abandoned Long Beach what happened? JetBlue grabbed all the slots and established a foothold on the West Coast. Learn from history, Son. AS may keep the JFK and SFO slots, but they'll fill them with 737s ASAP. And don't be surprised if they abandon JFK, another BIG mistake brought to you by the geniuses in Angle Lake. |

The Alaska pilots happily bent over and voted themselves a paycut. In response, Angle Lake bought Jet A. Not the growth the pilots expected- Alaska/ALPA tried to staple them, the Jet A pilots passed the hat, hired an attorney and rightfully sued. They fought for and received seniority integration. In doing so, they became the "Jet A-holes." Jet-A-Holes, Christmas Eve furlough notices, PayDay candy bars, and Kashstration- all part of the history that is Ashcan Airways |
Consider how many ex-JetA folks made it into management positions.
