Alaska Airlines Allegedly Bumps Gay Couple

Allegedly this happened. I'm sure there is more to the story but these days it's all about optics so I'm sure Alaska will admit fault no matter what.

Yawn. I wonder what the whole story is? Non-revs again?

Yawn x 2....

You're probably right about that, but I would find it very difficult to believe that an airline that has this page and especially this page on their web site would be intentionally doing any such thing as is alleged there. It's just another case of people who are inclined to being overly dramatic using this opportunity to claim their 15 minutes of fame.

Yeah, AS has been pretty forward leaning in welcoming/supporting LGBT. My guess is that the party in question simply had a lower priority for the premium cabin than the married couple.

Now it's "Flying While Gay."

Got that right. In fact, they got into a tussle with Delta a couple years ago over who would sponsor the SEA Gay Pride parade.

LGBT discrimination? Not organizationally at AS.

There is no way that I’m retiring in this country. F+%k that. Society has gone in the sh!tter and these pansy, PC, spineless airlines are just catering to it.

This can’t happen fast enough. To be clear I’m talking about YOU retiring!
