Tester need for Per Diem program
Hi, I am a retired AA captain who programs for a hobby. I have a Per Diem program that is used by Delta and AA crews. I know Per Diem is no longer applicable for Federal tax returns after 2017. However, it is still useful for some people on their state tax returns.
I was recently contacted by an Alaska/Virgin America FA. He sent me a logbook PDF summary file from "FLICA". I was able to create a program that used his file, but have not heard back from him. Is there someone out there that can send me instructions on how you get your annual summary from FLICA. Also it would be useful if you let me know if your logbook file works with my program. I provide the Per Diem report for free. I do ask for $5 donations only if the report save you time and money. You can contact me at FlyItSafe at gmail. I am not looking for customers, just a little help. Should not take more than a couple minutes. |
For pilots there is no FLICA. I think the former VA system was FLICA. We have a backwards home grown system that will not upload to 3rd party programs.

Thank you. I am trying to discover if you have access to a logbook summary. The file that the VA FA provided looked pretty nice with a summary of hours and a list of all legs flown for the year. The title of the file was "emp#_Logbook.PDF". The title in the file was "Flight Log" and appeared to be produced by "Sabre Airline Solutions".
If you do not have access to such a file, I recommend asking for it. The summary looked like a very nice product. If anyone has more info on this file please let me know. Thanks |
It’s $30 to get that log from Sabre.

Don't bother. Alaskan Air and 21st century technology is a lost cause. |

Just heard about that. Do you have access to a flight summary that is free?

Per diem (or 75% of the difference) isn't allowed as a deduction anymore, right? What good would a calculator do in this case?

If anyone would like to send me a copy of their new flight summary, I will make my program available to the group. I do this as a retirement hobby for the most part. Those that do use it really seem to like it. |
