Could I get a quick load check please?
LIH-SJC Alaska Flight 190 on 4/5? Thanks in advance.

It’s sorta strange ID90 shows less than 5% available, the seat map on alaskaair.com shows over 60 seats open. I’m hoping it’s just an error on ID90.

The 60 seats are probably the super saver tickets that don't get a seat assignment until just before boarding.

This gets annoying since there’s a simple app you can just download. It’s free. Even us pilots can appreciate that.

A simple app? What might that be? We can access proprietary loads for any airline for free? Or is it a FB type app that will require one’s personal info and then blast across to a huge pool of users to get load data? What’s the difference between asking users of APC for loads versus users of a certain app?

It’s an app not what you’re saying. Easy to use. Give it a shot. I promise you’ll like it. I was skeptical at first, but it works.

Yes. You have to participate....kinda like people asking here, if you don’t want to pay for load info. So it’s basically other employees giving info, international carriers too. They give you 5 free ones to try before you have to give out loads to keep it free. I was skeptical too, but it works great. Give it a shot.

Heard of any pushback from airlines on folks giving out their proprietary info? Or do they not care since it's probably just OAL nonrevs?

I was thinking about that too...but nothing yet. They verify you’re an employee before they give you any access. I guess it’s more secure than some “guests” here.

Verify you’re an employee. No thanks. I don’t trust any apps when it comes to my personal info, especially when that app is “free.”

As the saying goes, if the app is free, you are the product. Thanks but no thanks. I’ll stick to APC and PMs for loads. That works too. Why does that annoy you?

Otherwise it’s just selfish. If everyone thought it was appropriate this forum would turn into a mess of requests. I could post 3 or 4 everyday I had a commute. Multiply that by the amount of commuters here and it will paralyze this forum.

There are other options and this is not the place for it.

Except they don’t. From what I’ve seen, nearly all load requests made on APC by pilots are because they’re trying to nonrev esp with their families, not for commuting. For the most part.

To answer your question, No. I just pass along info on things I like and support. Basically what everyone else does here. Other than it’s just a good app that people should use rather than posting on this forum.

Trump supporter? That comes off as a butthurt liberal IMO. You just come off strong for supporting this app, and you started with "it's annoying to see these kinds of threads." If they are annoying then don't click on them, it's simple. :)
