Well, if the treasury doesn’t make an about face, it would appear we will no longer be working for the same company! |
Not sure the owners of all that money, American taxpayers, want the Treasury Secretary to make an about face. It is only in the little world of airline myopia that we believe giving money away for no reason is a great idea. Grants are not free...And they should have some bite attached to them....If the airline business is not economically viable in a free market let the chips fall where they may....Fairly certain that the majority of wage earning, tax paying Americans are not in favor of giveaways

Maybe another thing nobody is saying......the Bailout basically gets us through the high demand Summer into the fall when demand drops off anyway......which ideally would be the time to furlough. Maybe the irony is that Airline Pilots can't find post furlough jobs in the fall because their will be no jobs left......because they were riding the Bailout money till fall......if it gets that bad. #Truckmasters |

That doesn’t make sense
The treasury dept’s Mnuchin apparently has the leeway to change some terms. What was supposed to be 25 billion in grants is now being shown as 30% loans and 70% grants. That would mean about 17 billion are grants and the other 8 billion are loans. To cover payroll? Hopefully Mnuchin changes his mind otherwise this is not going to be good news at all. |

Going forward, if you tell companies to structure themselves in a way that they can go into some sort of stasis mode with minimal notice, then there will be a significant changeup to the structure of most corporations. |
