I don’t know. The fact that many people of African background originally arrived in this country as property? So 400 years of that for Africans who originally came to the Western Hemisphere and another 100+ years of systemic racism? Let’s go with that as a starting point.

I’m not an expert on the topic of the socio-economic reality for African Americans so I couldn’t break it down for you. However, the information is readily available I am sure. I doubt you actually care.

All I am saying is B&B talking about making our place of work better for our African American guests and coworkers doesn’t bother me in the least. It doesn’t hurt me at all.

It may be time to ask yourself why B&B’s messaging around the reality of African Americans bothers you? I think that is a far more important question to ask: how does this actually hurt you? Why start a thread about it?
