You saying AS is going to buy them or if there bought it’s game over for them.

The article speculates that B6 might buy HAL. Yes, that would probably be game over, especially if it included NK in the mix.

So who will buy AS lol.

Game over?? As in pilots on the street, the dreaded staple, no more logo, or some thing else? The surely obvious innuendo missed me by 10 ft.

Yes, game over. All 3,200 AS pilots to be furloughed and AS closing doors as soon as JetBlue buys Spirit, Frontier, and Hawaiian.

AS stagnating, retreating, shrinking. Reverse seniority movement, for those who stay. Presumably eventual fire sale.

Being the last little regional legacy won't work. Unlike G4 and SY their niche has too much overlap with the big boys, including a hypothetical B6+HAL.

How big is too big to fail for an organization? No, the pilots and planes won’t dematerialize, the aircraft and personnel have innate value, and they’ll certainly find a home somewhere, but that doesn’t mean that if management cannot (or refuses to) deal with current conditions in the industry the organization itself is still somehow bulletproof. Nor does the fact that the NMB has been reluctant to release pilots to strike in the past mean they won’t do it now.

Sometimes someone needs to be made an example of, as the Frogs say, “Pour encourager les autres.”
