Many of the outside posters on here throwing shade at this TA truly don’t understand how far the MEC had to climb to and the unity the had to rally to achieve this. Kudos to them because the Alaska CBA truly was horrendous. |

Delta just sent a strike authorization ballot out. Southwest is gonna go to the matresses because their management is asleep in the cockpit or worse. Alaska Airlines can then just smirk and smile and salute as Southwest Airlines gets into more trouble. Oh and Delta Air Lines? Let 'em Airbust into a beautiful pilot's strike during a recession. Yeah, that'll be fun to watch next year as their stock price crashes. Maybe Delta Air Lines will be so devalued a certain Seattle airline with labor peace and honour can buy them out and clean house. “If we pass this ****ty TA not only will we get shiny new jets but we will buy other airlines because of our “labor peace and honor” . this is true and it’s a major issue I have the difference is Delta has a Hub to Hub/max stage length limitation on their regional network. The entire issue of the 89k vs 86k is it’s ability to be able to do a midcon in the dead of winter west bound without limitations. I routinely had to boot pax or bags doing them in an 86k jet vs what that extra 3k can give. The other factor is intro Alaska where there was a lot of bags/cargo that now won’t be limited. It’s not ok at any airline but the significance of it at Alaska is more pronounced than it is at Delta.

The Tumi TA would have just given us couple more credits if we got converted to airport, but the company could still do it ad nauseum.
under your proposed system, which is generally modeled off UA, reserve is still going to suck. It’s not going to be some massive QOL boost. The single best addition is getting aggressive pickup. At least you know what’s coming. this is an industry standard TA, not leading by any means. |
Airline managements know the economy is going to tank, so they are offering weak TAs or none, waiting for a more favorable negotiating environment.
IOW, next year, we won't ask for concessions if you don't ask for a raise. |

by the way 23 people have privately messaged me they are voting for the TA… not one no yet🤔 Our MEC had unprecedented polling numbers, they knew what the same 80% of adults wanted, remember you can’t fix crazy! Once again, I am clueless |
