Living in Hawaii
 

Hello fine folks, wondering if anyone here working for Alaska lives in Hawaii. I'm just wondering how the commute works with the schedule. Thanks for your time.

There used to be a guy who lived on the big island. However, I believe he’s since moved on to greener pastures. A commute may now be possible with the new contract.

I know one person that commutes with us from Oahu, although I'm not sure how well that works. Probably will be better after PBS.

Thank you for the reply.. Pardon my ignorance, what do the typical schedule look like at Alaska? Would I need an apartment at base or is the schedule so that I would be back and forth several times a month.
