1,000 turbine

Anyone think this will go away after the new year? Everyone else is dropping this requirement, or at least lowering it. Have class numbers dropped due to the requirement? Hoping it drops so those of us that want to work there get on faster.

From what the CP has said it’s unlikely to change.

This is the email I got today.

"Thank you for your interest in the First Officer position with Alaska Airlines. We wanted to let you know that we will be reposting on Friday, December 16th with an update to our qualifications. The update you will see is to our minimum qualification of fixed wing turbine time (airplane and powered lift combined) is now 500 hours. If you now meet our minimum qualifications we want to encourage you to apply."

Thank you,

Alaska Pilot Recruiting
