Hire people who want to make their own rules and can't follow any or be told no...costs company negative PR, court costs and need for "genderless" new uniforms. Bravo

Corporations ALWAYS think that they can reap the benefits of marketing themselves as culture warriors, while also thinking they get to set the limits of how their marketing might affect their corporate policies.

But, hey…. You buy the ticket…. you ride the train. It’ll be interesting to see how far this, “My self-actualized identity decides how I show up for work.” policy expands going forward. Theoretically everything is a “social construct”.

So, can pilots have a trimmed beard yet?

I wish... I'd grow a grey goat that would best a retired master chief special forces ninja.
It seriously seemed like a hot topic for a couple months, then it apparently died on the vine.

Apparently, the thing holding it up is not all of our aircraft have the same mask. And only one of the two masks is approved with a well groomed beard.

Sounds to me like we need an “avoid old style masks” bidding option or line qual. Like for people who are awaiting a passport renewal. Except it’s for a well groomed beard.

Well then, if we have to wait until all the masks are the same, then it will never happen.
I think I've been waiting about 20 years now for all the audio control panels to be swapped out. Seriously, that was supposed to happen 20 years ago. The company started providing rubber bands as a short term solution. In SEA today, there was still a bucket of rubber bands. It is clear to see that those ACP's will get "swapped out" when the jet goes to the boneyard for the guillotine.

Allegiant allows beards and all of our Airbus masks say right on the sticker not to.
