Developing story today in the B6/NK merger trial. Apparently JB had plans to buy Alaska back in 2019.

This is not news… except to the 30. DA had plans to buy AS, AS had plans to buy JB, AS had plans to buy HA, WN had plans to buy AS, UA had plans to buy AS. Most of these plans never materialize, someone makes an inquiry, tests the waters, explores the possibility. This is usually a CEO golfing excursion. Inherently, control and price cause these deals to fall apart. You all laugh on here because you’re stupid, but AS’s board this year has fielded inquiries from almost every major airline, that’s the truth.

As early as 2016, I was told AS and JB had the same endgame, just different ideas of who would be in control. AS+JB+HA+NK

That’s a lot of 737s to park.

OTZ, what’s the latest on the wide bodies/HAL merger?
