FLICA Bot

Does any know what a FLICA bot is and how to use one to pickup trips? Asking for a friend.

I, too, just saw DM email. I've been hearing about these rumors for quite some time. Hopefully, these folks are all senior to me.

Yes, plausible rumors for a while and I'm glad the company is cracking down... some airlines just don't GAS how pilots sort their schedules.

Sounds like the company is pretty serious about this as they since they are threatening terminations. I searched and found the following website. Might be what people are using. Glad they are leveling the playing field. Have always been amazed at how fast the trips disappear. Now I know.

Shows you how lame I am, I would have never even thought to do that...

care to elaborate what was in the email for the Hawaiian folks? We’ve been dealing with possible bot issues, but the company seems uninterested in taking action.

Bascially says that giving out your password to a third party opens the company to cyber attacks and is a violation of company policy. They are hiring an IT Specialist to see who has been doing this and said the the violations are "extremely serious" will be acted on rapidly and dicipline could include termination. The Flica Bot website has a spelling error (Autoamtically) right on the main page so might be some sketchy people collecting passwords which also gives acccess to paycheck and other info. Might mention to SD to have Hawaiian included in IT investigaiton if you're so inclined.

Hawaiian definitely has bot users. Every time a Singapore maintanence flight gets put into open time the same guy immediately has the RO spot. The guy has no shame apparently because every 330 FO knows about him and he still continues to do it (including 2 days ago). He's not the only one I'm sure but no one else makes it so blatantly obvious. Hope Alaska fixes this and he gets fired, along with all the others.

This email came from DM. If you want this fixed I'd send an email to DM and ask him to send the email sent to ALK pilots sent to Hawaiian pilots as well. They are taking this very seriously and probably don't know it's an issue there. Hot topic right now so good time to get it fixed. I would also copy SD in the email or call him. Think this would get get it fixed.

Do you guys use Flight Crew View for your schedules? A lot of pilots at Hawaiian use this, which involves giving your Flica username and password to them. I'm hoping they don't shut that down, as Flica is pretty miserable to use for trying to figure out what your actual schedule is.
