From my experience if you don’t request a trip they start assigning stuff around 1pm.

In that case you get a seat sub and the PC format to make it legal.
We don't do this anymore. Your partner doesn't show up, you get a sub to do the loft or you go home. They may try to get you to do it if you don't know any better.

They have the BrokerageLink option where you could load up on anything and everything. What is the max amount for BrokerageLink anyone? I have read on this board somewhere that AMR is 95%. Alaska I haven't heard.

401k: transition to AS system happens at new years. There are several low cost funds (maybe 4-5 but the basics are covered). The only real index fund is S&P 500 (but I could be missing something). There were a couple of vanguard funds in the VX 401k we'll lose that I will miss, but the AS 401k has similar-cost replacements. I have not yet looked in depth to see how they compare.

LCR: LCR is call first; you will get used more. When I did LCR, I would send an email the day before my reserve block and express interest in a particular pairing (if more than 1 were in OT). They always gave me my first pick. Maybe I was just lucky. If there is nothing in OT they could convert you to SCR, so its not a guaranteed way to stay at home. Mostly it will depend on what kind of open time is out there. This was VX scheduling, I don't know how AS is.
