I like the sound of that!

I've heard 6 with an option for 4

That rumor has been around since the 787 was announced.

Back then people were ordering them. Today not so much. Maybe the deal looks better after all the canceled orders recently.
Just sayin.

Let's just say I seriously doubt the current administration will go the widebody route. Even if the airplane makes more sense for Hawaii/Transcon flying, the Angle Lake boys have a visceral fear that widebody aircraft will cause a response from the Major airlines.

Of course, they've got that on their hands right now with DAL in SEA, so that may be water over the bridge at this point.

JJ,

I think you are correct, that water is over the bridge...

We just announced an order for 10 additional -900ER's...I guess someone confused a "3" with an "8"!

Thrill 10-06-2014 07:56 AM

10 new to replace 15 old. Doesn't exactly drive hiring....

Alaska Air Hiring

Sounds like we are going to grow by 10 aircraft by 2017. The company website says we will have 137 at the end 2014 and will have 147 by end of 2017... Should mean continued hiring!
