Latest word is the first 737 vacancies will be on the Oct. vacancy bid….from that point on you can probably count on a significant portion of new-hire slots being 737.

Revenue 737 flying is delayed until mid year 2024, that's what I heard. And I heard that from a source that I think is pretty good.
The good news is if you were worried about getting assigned the 737 as a new hire and don't want it, you have a little time before you need to worry about that.

The latest official word was on August 4th when vacancy bids opened. It said "we now anticipate the first set of SFB B737 vacancies opening as early as the September 2023 vacancy bid". Do you know something different?

There will clearly not be revenue 737 flying in q3 2023. It's q3 2023 now and the program hasn't even been approved. The max 7, which constitutes more than half our orders, isn't even certified.

the vacancy will still open next month or October. Revenue flying will be mid year 24, but you have to have pilots in class starting training before revenue flying starts (nov-dec class date). proving runs can’t all be flown with initial cadre either. We are taking 2 planes a month starting in 2024, and all the 700s have been swapped for 800s at the 700 price

option and take the bulk of those as 700s if it’s not certified in time
