Profit Sharing

What was the % for profit sharing in 2016? When does profit sharing pay out?

Not sure if you work here or not, so this might sound redundant, but anyhow, I think profit sharing is 5% for the pilot group. Needless to say it wasn't very good this last time around. I'm not sure what the total amount paid out was but it amounted to (take home) about half of the small pay check (first of the month)... For instance, 2nd yr FO, and I got just over a grand on my bonus check (10 year captains got about 2500 I believe). It's certainly nice to get a bonus, we were just all expecting a good deal more, thus there was a lot of belly aching afterwards... Next time around at least we'll know what to expect. Company earnings are way down as well, so I'm sure we won't be "wow'ed" by profit sharing any time soon. But hey, it definitely beats NO profit sharing!

The amount was low because the pilot group was not paid out for July 2016, due to the contract being ratified in August. If July was included it would of been similar to 2015, which was 10% of salary. 2017 should be around 10%.

I don't currently work at Allegiant, so this is more just gathering intel for my eventual separation from the mil. Thanks for the info!

I don't see how one single month of not being included in profit sharing will increase our cut to 10%. My share was more like 3% of yearly salary if that.

I'm sure he's got a hot stock tip, too. For Q1, $3,600,000 was put in the payout pool. Pilots get 40% of this, or $1,440,000. That's split between approximately 850 pilots, or approximately $1700 per pilot. I'm pretty sure everyone made more than $17000 in the first 3 months of the year, except maybe 1st year FO's.

July alone was worth more than Aug/Sept/Oct combined. That's how.

That's a good point that I think most are over looking here. They are looking at every month in a linear perspective. March, June and July and a little in Dec is where a lot of the money is at.
